Terrorist abducted 11 persons, mostly elderly women, at Shinfida Village in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.

They were abducted while fleeing to a nearby refugee camp for safety after their village came under attack by a group of suspected bandits.

Katsina State, which is the Home State of Nigeria’s current president, Muhammadu Buhari, had witnessed a series of attacks by armed groups presumed to be terrorist, or bandits as they are called.

The incident is said to have occurred following the departure of soldiers from Shimfida village in Jibia local government area of katsina state. Taking advantage of the troops, Withdrawal, the assailants invaded the village on Friday night and abducted 11 persons.

The soldiers were stationed at Government Secondary School, Shimfida, about 27 Kilometers from Jibia town, the local council headquarters, until their withdrawal on Thursday.

However, efforts to reach the Katsina police command spokesperson, Gambo Isa, was unsuccessful as he did not respond to calls and SMS sent to him on the phone over the development
