Former U.S President – Donald Trump has launched his new social media app Truth Social; after prior availability to invited users during its test phase.

The app which was available for download few minutes after midnight ET, was automatically downloaded to pre-ordered users of Apple Inc.

Early users have complained about being added to a waitlist for registration, as demand for the app increased.

The Truth Social is an innovation birthed from Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), and is being headed by Devin Nunes, a former U.S Representative of the Republican.

According to Nunes who spoke on Fox News, a forecast on the apps operation will be key.

“This week we will begin to roll out on the Apple App Store. That’s going to be awesome, because we’re going to get so many more people that are going to be on the platform.

“Our goal is, I think we’re going to hit it, I think by the end of March we’re going to be fully operational at least within the United States,” he said during the brief interview.

Furthermore, TMTG have decided to leverage on a merger to list in New York with Digital Works Acquisition Corp (DWAC)—a blank-check firm.

The opportunity could see the Trump company receive up to $293 million cash from DWAC trust if none of its shareholders redeem active shares.

Version history of the recently launched app shows that version 1.0 was available a day ago, while the 1.0.1 version has ‘bug fixes’. This is stated on the app’s store page.

Recall that Donald Trump had been banned from major social media platforms after the U.S Capitol shenanigans last month—with his Twitter, Facebook and Alphabet Inc YouTube account all taken down.
