The United States have stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin has given the go-ahead to Russian troops to prepare for an invasion.

According to latest reports from Washington, a major part of the Russian Army have closed in on the Ukrainian border.

Intelligence reports put the forces at fifty miles from the border; with strong evidence that Putin has ordered the initiation of an invasion.

Speaking on Face The Nation, David Martin—a national security reporter of a broadcasting outlet—said outrightly that an invasion is unavoidable and key plans from senior Russian military officials are taking place.

“The intelligence says Russian troops have received orders now to proceed with the invasion.

“Not only are they moving up closer and closer to the border into these attack positions.

“But the commanders on the ground are making specific plans for how they would maneuver in their sector of the battlefield.”

The latest development follows after talks being held lately to avert a war that could put millions of people in danger, and produce casualties.

U.S Secretary of State Antony Blinken reiterated that: “Everything we are seeing suggests that this is dear serious, that we are on the brink of an invasion. We will do everything we can to try to prevent it before it happens.”

In the light of an invasion on Kyiv, a total of three million people will be on the frontline; as Russian troops have been placed at a three-hour drive from the population.

Meanwhile UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson have called out Putin and warns on the after-effect of his decision.

“We have to accept at the moment that Vladimir Putin is possibly thinking illogically about this and doesn’t see the disaster ahead.

“I think it’s vital for us all now to get over what a catastrophe it would be for Russia. I believe it will be a bloody conflict,” he said.

With immeasurable amount of shelling reported over the past few days, Ukraine, Russia and the separatists have continued to deny any involvement within the region.

Chief of NATO – Jens Stoltenberg also came out recently to warn about a full-fledged attack by the Russian troops terming it as a high probability.
